The Joint World Conference held in Hong Kong in 2010 included a highly successful human service technology sub-theme organised by husITa. We are delighted to announce that husITa will facilitate a technology-related sub-theme at the 2014 Conference.
husITa is an international virtual association dedicated to promoting the ethical and effective use of information technology to better serve humanity. husITa members are human service managers, technologists, academics, social workers, psychologists, probation officers and others united in the the common cause of making technology work better for the human services.
husITa will facilitate the technology related theme inside the main conference venue and will also organise:
- a human service technology keynote speaker
- a track of field visits to technology-related sites in the Melbourne area
- a husITa dinner
- a Journal of Human Service Technology best article award
- a husITa best human service application award and prize presentation ceremony.
In addition, all presenters presenting as part of the #husITa14 theme will be invited to submit their paper for inclusion in a special conference-related issue of the Journal of Technology in Human Services.
