The Joint World Conference on Social Work, Education and Social Development 2014 gratefully acknowledges the organisations whose sponsorship, institutional support and professional involvement helped make SWSD 2014 possible.
Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9–12 July 2014, the conference brought together more than 1,500 social work and social development practitioners, researchers, educators and service users from around the world. Their participation contributed to an international exchange focused on the conference theme, “Promoting Social and Economic Equality: Responses from Social Work and Social Development.”

International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW)
IFSW represents the social work profession internationally and promotes social justice, human rights, professional development and cooperation among social workers worldwide.
Host Organisation
The University of Melbourne
The University of Melbourne hosted SWSD 2014 and played an important role in the local organisation and academic program of the conference. Members of the University’s social work community were also closely involved in the conference program and organising committees.
Australian National Representatives
The conference was supported at the national level by organisations representing social work education, practice and the broader community services sector in Australia:
